It is one of the driest and windiest places in Vietnam, with sand dunes, vineyards and a strong Cham culture you can see at the ancient Po Klong Garai towers. It is less crowded than Nha Trang. Note: after the 2025 administrative merger, the area now belongs to Khanh Hoa province, so maps may show the new name.
