Hoi An is about 30 km from Da Nang airport, 40–50 minutes by car. The easiest option is Grab or Xanh SM: 250,000–350,000 VND (about $10–14) per car.

- Metered taxi (Mai Linh, Vinasun): 300,000–450,000 VND. Use the official taxi rank; touts asking 500,000+ are overcharging.
- Shared shuttle: 130,000–150,000 VND per seat, 60–75 minutes, roughly hourly 6:00–21:00. Book a day ahead.
- Private car: 270,000–500,000 VND. Can stop at the Marble Mountains on the way.
- Public bus LK02: 35,000 VND, about 70 minutes, but it does not start at the airport.
Cars cannot enter the Old Town, so expect a 5–10 minute walk with bags. Allow up to 90 minutes in heavy rain (September–December). Going back, leave Hoi An 2.5 hours before a domestic flight and 3.5 hours before an international one.
