1. Follow the "Immigration / Arrival" signs. At the main airports, travellers who have declared in advance can use the priority area (pre-arrival information counter).
2. At the immigration counter: hand over your passport, pre-arrival QR code and e-visa (printed copy recommended). The officer scans the code and stamps your passport.
3. Collect your baggage from the carousel showing your flight number.
4. Customs: use the green channel if you have nothing to declare. You must declare at the red channel if carrying cash above USD 5,000 (or equivalent foreign currency) or above VND 15,000,000.
5. In the arrivals hall: buy a SIM, withdraw cash, and take a taxi from the official rank or book a ride through an app.
   Not declared in advance: you can usually still do it at the airport via the QR posters in the immigration area, but expect a longer wait.
