- Suica/ICOCA pays for transport, convenience stores and vending machines.
- Withdraw yen at 7-Eleven ATMs, which accept foreign cards.
- Small eateries, temples and ticket-machine ramen shops are often cash only.
Note: tipping is not customary in Japan.
