Search on Google Flights, compare on Skyscanner or Trip.com, then book directly on the airline's website or app.
- Google Flights shows a monthly price calendar, with the cheapest days in green. You can also search multi-city trips, for example Hanoi – Paris out and Milan – Hanoi back.
- Booking directly with the airline makes changes, refunds, extra baggage and help with delays or cancellations easier than going through an agent.
- Chinese airlines such as China Eastern, Air China and Hainan Airlines often have good fares, around 18–22 million VND return. Middle Eastern airlines such as Emirates, Qatar and Etihad offer great service at reasonable prices if you book early.
- Flying Monday to Wednesday is usually cheaper than at the weekend.
