The name on your ticket must match your passport (international flights) or ID (domestic flights). Leaving out a middle name is the passenger's mistake, and each airline handles it differently.
- Fill it in correctly: “Surname = LEE; Given names = MIN JUN”. Use no accents, in the same order as your passport.
- Some airlines correct it for free, some charge a name-change fee, and some make you cancel and buy a new ticket.
- On international flights, a name that doesn't match your passport or visa can mean being denied boarding.
- If you spot a mistake, contact the airline or agent right away; don't wait until you're at the airport.
- If you're charged a fee, stay calm and polite with staff; arguing usually makes things slower and harder.
Note: before paying, check every letter of your name, your date of birth and passport number, and read the airline's name-correction rules.
